Sociology Positions in Inequality, Power, and Social Justice

The University of California, Merced is recruiting between one and four Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors as part of a cluster hire in the area of Inequality, Power, and Social Justice focused on issues related to 1) Identity, Experience, and Representation and 2) Structural and Institutional Inequality. Successful applicants will demonstrate how their empirical work examines issues of inequality, power, and social justice, with the potential to build upon the Sociology Department’s strengths in social inequality, immigration, race, gender, education, political sociology and globalization, or to complement these strengths in related areas with an innovative research focus.
