Dodson Publishes in Social Forces on Social Class and Taxes

Professor Dodson recently published a study in Social Forces that examines how economic downturns can mobilize class conflict over tax policy.  He finds that during periods of economic distress, manual workers advocate shifting the burden of paying taxes to the more affluent.  Conversely, the more affluent prefer to shift the burden of paying taxes to those with lower incomes.
