Hyunsu Oh is a Ph.D. candidate in sociology at UC Merced focusing on investigating systemic inequalities in societal institutions at the intersection of race/ethnicity, citizenship/immigration status, gender, and social class. In his dissertation research, he analyzes structural inequalities in the U.S. labor market against the Asian population in response to prevailing model minority thesis. His research has appeared in Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities, Crime & Delinquency, Research in the Sociology of Heath Care, Socius: Sociological Research for a Dynamic World, and other outlets.
