Bio:
Camellia is an Iranian Armenian graduate student of Sociology at UC Merced. In 2020, she completed her BA in English Literature at Allameh Tabtaba’i University in Tehran, Iran. Prior to her immigration to the U.S., she worked as an ESL instructor and translator. As a Ph.D. student, her research interests include educational inequalities faced by international students in American higher education system and political sociology with focus on political movements in Iran and the Middle East.
