Requirements for the B.A. in Sociology (SOC)
The Sociology major requires at least 48 units in Sociology and related courses. Courses in the major emphasis must be taken for a letter grade, and specifically may not be taken on a pass/no pass basis unless the course is only offered on a pass/no pass basis.

The program is structured for students to graduate in four years and transfer students in two years. The majority of students complete their degrees on time—67% of the 2018 cohort graduated within four years.
