Bio: 

Eliana Fonsah is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Sociology at UC Merced. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, University Park campus with a Master of Professional Studies Degree in Labor and Global Workers’ Rights in 2020. Prior to studying at the University of Pennsylvania, she obtained a Master of Arts Degree in History of International Relations and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Yaoundé I, Cameroon, in 2011 and 2008 respectively.

He research interest include political sociology, social movements and transnational social movements, labor and environmental sociology. Her research focuses on examining patterns of transnational social movements in French West Africa with attention on Cameroon, challenges, coalition building issues and applicable strategies for successful transnational social movement mobilization.
