Zulema Valdez, Associate Professor of Sociology at UC Merced, and Nancy Plankey Videla, Associate Professor of Sociology at Texas A&M University, have been awarded an ASA/NSF Fund for the Advancement of the Discipline Grant (2014–2016) for their project, “The Effects of Legal Status on the Social and Economic Incorporation of Mexican-Origin Mixed Status Families in the Southwest.”
