Rocio Murillo Receives SSHA 2019 Outstanding Student Medal for Sociology Department

May 31, 2019

Surrounded by faculty, family and friends, Rocio was given her medal at the Outstanding Student Awards reception on May 17, just in time to walk across the commencement stage wearing a symbol of her success. She was also recognized for her accomplishments as a graduate of distinction by Sociology faculty and her peers during the Inaugural Alpha Kappa Delta Research Symposium in April.

Each spring, faculty from each department in SSHA select one student from among their peers who exhibits outstanding qualities. These students must not only demonstrate scholastic success by having a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, but they also must have significant research experience with a mentor, exhibit leadership through service on campus or the community at large, and a clear judicial affairs record..

Please join us in congratulating Rocio and all the SSHA students receiving the Outstanding Student Medal for 2019.
