On Sunday, immediately following the graduation ceremony, the Sociology Department held its inaugural reception for graduating seniors in Sociology in the California Room. Professor Ed Flores gave a heartfelt speech to the graduates and their families highlighting the role families played and their many sacrifices to send their kids to college. The turnout was excellent, especially for the first year, with several faculty attending as well. It was a great opportunity for the parents to meet faculty members. Many thanks to those who made this event possible. Congratulations once again to the Sociology Graduates – Class of 2019!
