Professor Tanya Golash-Boza's new book, Deported: Immigrant Policing, Disposable Labor, and Global Capitalism, has been chosen by the American Sociological Association Latina/o Section for the Distinguished Contribution to Research Book Award. The Award Committee commented on the impressive data collection and Golash-Boza's ability to make macro-micro links between neoliberal forms of capitalism, racialized policies, and mass deportation of immigrants.
