Grad Student Marcus Shaw Gives Invited Talk at Cal State Stanislaus

Third year UC Merced Sociology graduate student Marcus Shaw shared the findings of his research at Cal State University Stanislaus' Sociology Colloquium Series on February 25. He presented his invited talk,"Parental Incarceration and the Intergenerational Demobilization of Minority Youth." The results of his study show that having a once incarcerated parent limits educational mobility of the second generation.
