The 2024 University of Louisville Grawemeyer Award in Education was won by Laura Hamilton and Kelly Nielsen for their book, "Broke: The Racial Consequences of Underfunding Public Universities." Laura Hamilton, professor and chair in the Department of Sociology at the University of California, Merced, discussed the award-winning book in an interview with Louisville Public Media.
