We are thrilled to announce that Luis Rubén González has successfully completed all requirements for his Ph.D., including the defense of his dissertation:
“A Clean Source for a Sustainable Future? Hegemonic Outcomes of Opposition Campaigns Against Renewable Energy Extraction Megaprojects in Central America.”
His dissertation committee included Drs. Paul Almeida (Chair), Nella Van Dyke, and Camila Alvarez.
Dr. González will be continuing his academic journey as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Inter-American Policy and Research (CIPR) at Tulane University in New Orleans.
